TRIBUTE TO A MARTYR!!!

Exactly a month and a week ago, an eclipse to our sunny happiness hit on a saturday night! We lost a dear friend,colleague and brother.
Auwal Bala Usman Shanono was the definition of humble and happy till his soul was ripped away by miscreants in a Nigerian Union of Road Traffic Workers' Car Park Clash in Ibadan…
This is a Tribute to his soul,his life and to the hereafter we continue to hope for him..

Death has again stolen from us and this time an Extraordinary gentleman who embodied Friendship,Leadership and true Vibrance. Auwal Bala Usman Shanono was to me and many others a brother,a friend,a colleague,a mentor and a Leader.

He was to me a pillar of hope,a strong tower of strength and perseverance. He taught me to follow my dreams and To be as stubborn as all life’s struggles thrown at me.

He exuded passion,love and friendship and had an air of Magnetism so strong it pulled any and all kinds of people.

If I were asked to describe him in one word it’ll be simple. ‘Happy’.

I always called you ‘Shaanonoooo’ with gladness in my heart each time I saw you.

I cannot forget the lilt in your voice or the ease in  your gait and the way you always cheered the gloom in every day.

Death has stolen from us a gem,a priceless being, A Bright Star in My Little world!

You are a Martyr of Faith and You’ll continue to live on in my heart! We love you.

I will remember u each time I walk the roads we walked together …

Auwal may never get his justice,so in our little ways and with our little voices,we try to remember him for what he was..
We heal for him,smile for him…
And yes,I can finally live a little for him!

Auwal was the National President of the Nigerian Medical Students Association until his death...

The H.E.A.T is a music series where they release a number of brand new 'Hotttt', groovy,highly entertaining and market friendly songs weekly on famous sites and premier them on radio stations and popular blogs...

 

 The songs in the first edition are titled "AFRICAN BABY" and "NOCTURNAL" produced by Chopsticks (of GRIP boiz), Samklef (Mr Nonilizing) and Choc. city's JESSE JAGS!!!

ALL STAR SERIES - Rogers aka Gwariboy

 

His name is Rogers Y.J also known as Gwariboy -reasons for which he says are very special and very controversial.

A cool dude that's proudly Gbagyi by tribe and hails from Kaduna state, Nigeria.

Rogers is an IT major in Media in one of the famous Universities in Malaysia.

He lives and breathes music and quadriples as a musical producer,writer,singer and perfomer.

music to him is "a breath of fresh air" 

 He's been in love with music all his life and wrote his first song in 2003...and began the exploration of this sexy romantic affair with beats,notes and words.

"my inspiration comes from real life experiences,love,heartbreak,betrayal and spirituality.... " - Gwariboy

Rogers is a young star with dreams who most admires Christ Jesus .....as he says;
"He spent only 33years on earth and within those years was able to make his voice heard worldwide; at some point he became the only fresh news.." And like his Wonderman he is making his own smooth voice heard by mixing many styles and genres...Gospel,HipHop..and everything that can pass for music! (except,for metallic rock.."that genre is mad!")

He combines everything so well and delivers a flavour of music so unique in every way ,much like his vibrant persona ,that makes him a star,an artiste and a wonderful entertainer!

Achievements : Award winner 2010 African Entertainment Awards, Malaysia...Best R'n'B Category with nominations for Best writer/Inspirational song and also Best Collaboration..

Nominee, Producer of the Year and Best R'n'B ; 2011 African Entertainment Awards,Malaysia.

MY COLLEGE MUSIC EXPERIENCE

Music is my language..it is my haven and my companion in the dark! It speaks to me, caresses me.. For me words and tunes define a rhythm... A flow... A synchrony that drives me to release!

For some,music is a passion...a need.. A way of life! It is this drive that moves them to make music, to live it, to breathe it! In the heart of AhmaduBelloUniversity is a Garden of sculptures,where art meets mystery.... On nights of friday ,gather a group of young minds...to trade a thought or two... Use up lines, make up tunes! They call it CYPHER ... I call it a Tribute to RAP!
